About the Lecture

The lecture will delve into Ġużè Ellul Mercer's Leli ta' Ħaż-Żgħir (Shadows of the Truth, tr. Godwin Ellul) as a novel whose plot essentially revolves around a central philosophical episode, as exemplified by Platos' Allegory of the Cave, making the novel a text about reading, knowledge, and books. The lecture will be in English and open to residents of foreign nationality.
